Celebration of Achievement in A Level and GCSE September 2018

Pupils of Ysgol Brynhyfryd’s Summer 2018 GCSE and A Level courses were recognised for their
achievements and endeavours at an evening of ‘Celebration of Achievement’ at the school’s Theatr
John Ambrose.
The students aged 16 to 18 were nominated by their subject teachers for their outstanding efforts
and subsequent grades at GCSE and A level.
The awards ceremony was well attended by family members. Staff at Ysgol Brynhyfryd were all
extremely proud to award and reward the students for their endeavour, resilience, their positive
contribution to the life of the school and the outstanding results achieved in their summer
examinations. Their hard work and determination has certainly paid off as the school has once again
reached for the stars and is the best performing school in Denbighshire.
The audience was entertained by an amazing solo harp performance by Angharad Huw who is
studying for A levels at Ysgol Brynhyfryd.
Mr Geraint Parry, Headteacher said, “We are extremely proud of all of our students! The combined
efforts of parents, family, peers, students and all the staff here at Ysgol Brynhyfryd has been well
demonstrated in the fantastic set of GCSE and A level results again this year! All the awards are fully
deserved; we wish all those moving on to pastures new all the best in their future endeavours –
good luck to you all!”
