‘High’ jumping for joy on their first day!
Brand new and sharp suited in their uniforms, pupils celebrate the end of their first day at the Ruthin based school. Year 7 pupils at Ysgol Brynhyfryd have thoroughly enjoyed their first day at the school, making new friends, meeting the school staff, sampling the delights of the school canteen and getting to grips with the new timetables and planners!
Ellie age 11 from Denbigh said, “I was so nervous and excited this morning but now I’m finding my way around and making new friends! It’s fab, I can’t wait for tomorrow!” Sam from Gellifor said, “I’m having a wonderful first day, I really enjoy coming to the library and love books! I’m looking forward to making lots of new friends and starting my lessons in the science labs!”
Joe from Coedpoeth said, “I have made quite a few new friends today, it’s brilliant here and I’m so glad I made the right choice to come here!” Huw Griffiths, head of year seven commented, “We are once again thrilled to welcome all of our new pupils, they all seem to be settling in very quickly judging by the smiles on their faces! Pupils from Wrexham have made friends with pupils from outlying villages of Denbigh, some from Corwen have made friends with Bodfari pupils, this is so encouraging and all on their first day too! This is an important time for them and our ethos here at Ysgol Brynhyfryd is to be welcoming and supportive, to nurture each and every one! Their happiness and wellbeing is paramount here and we are certainly looking forward to our next steps together at the school”
