National Rugby Competitions

Steffan Dolben from year 12 has been chosen to play for the Wales under 18’s football team! He will start his training at ‘Dragons Park’ Newport very soon! Steffan has played football for Ruthin Town and Bala Academy (under 19’s). Well done and best of luck to you Steffan!

Congratulations to Neisha Roberts as she is the North East Wales Champion in the 1500m and High Jump. She will represent the North East Wales and Ysgol Brynhyfryd in the Welsh Schools Athletics Championships in Cardiff in July. Good luck Neisha.

What an incredibly talented bunch of students we have in year 7. After only 20 minutes of rehearsal they’ve succeeded in learning an entire song! Watch this space! Thanks to Teleri Sian, Wyn Pearson and Matt Deacon for their hard work during today’s rehearsal.

Congratulations to Huw Jones Yr 10 he is the North East Wales Athletics Champion in the 3000m. He also finished second in the 1500m. He will now represent North East Wales and Ysgol Brynhyfryd in the Welsh Athletics Championships in Cardiff in July. Good luck Huw.

The Phoenix Project is a Fire and Rescue initiative aimed at young people aged 13 – 17. The project runs five day courses across North Wales designed to assist in redirecting the energy of youngsters towards productive and worthwhile activities that will assist in the integration of the individuals with their peers and their communities….
