Singing Exam Success

Truly scrumptious cakes and home baked treats were on offer for the Macmillan Coffee Morning held at Ysgol Brynhyfryd on Friday September 27th. Our 6th from students arranged, sold tickets, baked and presented staff and pupils with refreshments and succeeded in raising £770 for this worthy cause and to be shared with Wales air Ambulance….

Our under 13 girls football team recently played for the Welsh Cup against Ysgol Glan Clwyd, this team has a lot of potential – well done girls!  

Ifan Beech and Joe Hinchcliffe Year 12 have been offered a placement at Harvard University, USA through the Seren Network. Only 5 are selected every year throughout Wales, and we have two students from Brynhyfryd who have been offered a place!

Steffan Dolben from year 12 has been chosen to play for the Wales under 18’s football team! He will start his training at ‘Dragons Park’ Newport very soon! Steffan has played football for Ruthin Town and Bala Academy (under 19’s). Well done and best of luck to you Steffan!

Ysgol Brynhyfryd’s Year 7 students were given a wonderful opportunity to attend a fun packed and educational two day adventure at Gwersyll yr Urdd, Glanllyn near Bala.
